Marc Swann

Marc is our Search Director here at Glass Digital and he’s been working in the SEO space since 2007. Throughout his career, he’s worked with a range of household names, including House of Fraser, Cotswold Outdoor, Decathlon, Wren Kitchens, and Jessops.

As a director, he’s very much involved in ensuring the company as a whole succeeds. He also helps to decide on strategies for our delivery teams, particularly where organic search is concerned. And, in addition to all of this, he manages our technical SEO team, who help to ensure our clients’ sites are in the best shape possible. As you can probably imagine, it never really feels like his job is done, but that’s something he loves about his role here.

Time at Glass Digital

As Search Director, Marc’s job is essentially split into two parts. One aspect involves working with the rest of the company’s directors to ensure that the business is moving in the right direction. Then, on top of that, he spends a lot of time working on the strategy behind our service delivery, especially when it comes to SEO. Along with our Creative Director and Operations Director, he helps to decide on our service offering and exactly how everything is going to be managed.

He also keeps up to date with all of the latest trends within organic search so he can ensure our teams have the right skills, tools, and strategies to help our clients reach their goals.

There's a lot of variation in my job, and I really enjoy having to come up with new ideas and solutions all of the time. It's also incredibly rewarding to watch your ideas develop and produce the results you're looking for. Even the projects that don't necessarily take off teach us a lot, so they can be just as enjoyable.

I also love that there's always something I could be getting on with. There's always a process we could improve or a new area of digital marketing to explore, and I really like how we have to adapt all of the time to provide the best possible service for our clients.
