Before becoming an Outreach Executive at Glass Digital, Rebecca studied Fashion Design and Marketing at Northumbria University. Her final major project, which required her to create, market, and sell products from her own brand, is what helped her to discover a love for marketing. Her course also provided her with a lot of the skills she uses to effectively liaise with editors and our clients in order to build links in an ethical and valuable way. This is an incredibly important element of our organic search service.
As part of our outreach team, Rebecca uses a combination of the latest digital marketing techniques and some traditional PR tactics to boost our clients’ online visibility. Her primary goal is to build valuable and relevant links back to our clients’ websites, which helps to drive more traffic and boost their Google rankings.
There are lots of elements to Rebecca’s job. She’s regularly required to pitch valuable and relevant editorial ideas to editors on behalf of our clients. Plus, she must keep an eye out for any industry developments that the companies we work with might be able to comment on. In addition to this, she arranges for clients to be interviewed, drums up interest around any exciting projects our clients want to talk about, and stays up to date with all of the latest trends so she’s always one step ahead of the game.
I love the collaborative nature of my role as an Outreach Executive here at Glass Digital. It’s also great to be part of a strong and passionate outreach team, as it means everyone is willing to share ideas and inspiration, as well as lend a helping hand if you’re struggling with anything.
The company encourages us to have weekly training sessions and regular ideation meetings, too, which means we have plenty of opportunities to ask for everyone else’s advice and opinions on anything we have in the pipeline.
